72k is alot to some people. Myself 72k in my hand now that would put a massive deposit down on a nice house and a good holiday. Maybe a 2 month holiday somewhere, travelling around south america with the mrs.

I get that its only £50 but if you're sticking £50 on 5000/1 shots then it suggest imo that you probably are a massive punter and probably are sticking loads on 2/1 shots like you say, in which case the cash out surprises me. Or that you're loaded, as the average punter wouldn't stick anything like that much on such a long odds shout, which again makes the cash out surprising.
obviously I could well be wrong but that kind of how I see it.

Some people place bets of £50,000 at 2/1 etc that's when you need a lot of money.
Granted it is a weird bet but he might have done a pub bet after a few beers...when your mate eggs you on and you place a nifty on a long shot, i bet we've all done that!
Especially if you support the team.

Agree with Davies in that its a very very strange bet to place in the first place
But having come this far and them looking favourites after last weeks matches and with Newcastle at home next i find it a strange time to cash out
The fixture list is kind to them, I would have gone another few weeks at least

It depends how much money you have. If you're down to the bare bones then 60-70k plus seems about right. On the other hand if you had a property/cash worth 500k may as well turn the screw on the bookmakers percentage wise.
Having said that, not that I watch it, people annoy me on Deal or No Deal taking 72k if it between 1p and 250k.
